Because we seriously have the BEST location in Hollywood! We are centrally located and you can walk to (within 5 minutes): Hollywood’s hottest night clubs and attractions, Grauman’s Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are held), Madame Tussaud’s, Universal Studios, via Metro, Walk of Fame, Runyon Canyon Park, hiking attraction w/ awesome HOLLYWOOD SIGN views! Maybe you can stay in the same room as Marilyn Monroe did in the 1950’s! And, we’re awesome, with lots of character and it’s clean & comfortable too!
Why would I want to stay at your hostel?
We do provide FREE oatmeal/tea-coffee. Shelly’s Cafe offers full BREAKFAST to our guests for a discounted rate of $5.50.
• Airport Transportation: Prime Time Shuttle from/to LAX(Best & cheapest). Usually $16 one-way, per-person. Arrangements can be made via their website: www.primetimeshuttle.com, phone: 1.800.599.9990 or in person outside the baggage claim area.
• AMEX, Master Card, Visa and Traveler’s checks are accepted.
• ATMs and banks are a 5 minute walk from hostel.
• Bathrooms are included in en-suite rooms. Other private rooms/dorms have shared baths located throughout hostel near each room/dorm.
• Borders Bookstore is on the corner of Vine Street and Sunset Blvd.
• Car rental companies, Budget and Hertz are within walking distance.
• Children are allowed. Please contact front desk for availability and pricing.
• Curfew/Chores NOT REQUIRED
• Discounts on accommodation are offered during off season. Group rates – 10 or more guests, minimum
two night’s stay. Please inquire at front desk.
• Greyhound Hollywood Bus Station is located within walking distance (8 blocks)
• Greyhound Downtown Los Angeles Station is 45 minutes via Metro and bus.
• Group rooms are available. Please contact front desk for availability and pricing.
• Gym, LA Fitness is located on Hollywood Blvd., 3 minutes walk.
• Hairdryers to lend at front desk.
• Iron/ironing board is available for use in the lobby room.
• Hours:
Reception Room is open from 7:00 AM till 1:00 AM/No Lockout from hostel
Check out time is from 7:00 AM till 10:00 AM
Check in time is between 3:00 PM and 12:30 AM
Early check out available, please inquire at the desk
• Kitchen facilities(newly upgraded) include 2 refrigerators/freezers, gas range, microwave and all the utensils, pots and pans needed.
• Laundry facilities are a 10 minute walk from the hostel.
• Linens are provided free of charge.
• Location is one of the safest areas in Hollywood.
• Lockers are located in basement area & are large enough for a mid size back pack-cost is $0.75 or $1.00.
• Luggage stored/left, free before/after checkout in front desk area until midnight of your Check-out day.
Please inquire at front desk for longer time.
• Mail & Packages are accepted for registered guests. Please inform front desk that you are expecting mail.
• Medical services are close by on Hollywood Boulevard & Wilcox(10 min walk).
• Non-Smoking Rooms ONLY.
• Parking is located just behind the hostel and is $5.00 per day.
Please do not park on the street in front of the hostel. That can cost you over $56 in parking ticket!!!
• Pets not allowed, sorry.
• Pharmacy/CVS just one block away.
• Phone cards are available at every souvenir store on Hollywood Blvd.
• Public transportation/Bus & Metro stops are conveniently located(4 min walk) from the hostel.
• Post Office is at Hollywood Highland Mall - three minutes walk from the hostel.
• Shopping mall is a two minute walk and have everything from discount stores to high end stores.
• SIM cards or cell phone services and accessories available at Page store, short walk from hostel.
• Sunset Strip clubs are 5-10 Minutes away (by car).
• Taxes are included in the rates.
• Towels are provided in En suite rooms. Otherwise, we rent them for $2 per towel.
• TV room w/flat screen TV & Free Movies, but there are no TVs in rooms
• Visitor Info Center is located one block away at the Kodak Mall (where the Oscars are held).
• Walk of Fame is a mere 1 minute walk from the hostel.
• Wi-Fi is available for $5 for the length of stay and computer kiosks for a fee. Sorry, no printers, no picture downloading (available at Tiago Internet Cafe @ Hollywood/La Brea Ave.
